HIII!!!!!!!
I know it's been a loooooong time. No excuses...let's get right down to business here. I love October. I do. For many many reasons.
Let me just list a few for you.
- It's usually when the cold weather starts to roll in (sweater weather and get out that down comforter!)
- The leaves start to change and i think it's the most beautiful thing ever (we all know i love me some nature)
- Apple cider and pumpkin picking (all while wearing my sweater and admiring the changing leaves)
- Pumpkin carving and seed eating (there is something to be said for a food that serves a decorative purpose and a source of nourishment)
- Apple picking, fresh apple pie and apple crisp (the picking part is optional...i will accept "picking" the apples from Wegmans, as long as the other stuff is fresh made i'm happy)
- MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! (it's the 18th...this thursday...just an FYI, i have a wishlist if anyone is stuck for ideas )
So thats just a few to get everyone a little excited about the wonderfulness that is October. Dan and I in reference to my 4th bullet picked pumkins and did some mean carving over the weekend. My pumpkin paled in comparison to the Dan's when it came to size but i made up for it with creativity. We aren't as crafty as you all may think, we actually went online and printed out some stencils to make templates on our pumpkins so we looked all skilled at pumpkin carving. Being than Dan's pumpkin was of the larger variety i had to draw his template to scale right on his pumpkin because the stencil would just not look right if done at the smaller size....
Dan got fancy with the exposure on his camera and made it look like the whole pumpkin was glowing...weeeeeeeee!
and then he brought on the spookiness and did this...pretty cool huh? Don't judge we were having fun!
Anywho...all in all i love me some October and kinda don't want it to end. I hope all is well with everyone, and hopefully i will blog more efficently from now on. :)
Happy Bird-Turd Week to MEEEE!!!!
(i love my birthday)
